PCAC INVITATIONDear Roxana Parent / Guardian: As part of our school improvement process, the Roxana School District would like to extend an invitation to become a member of the Parent and Community Advisory Council (PCAC) for the 2011-2012 school year. Click here for more information. SUPPLEMENTAL EDUCATIONAL SERVICES Help your child succeed in school – sign up for free tutoring! As a result of the federal No Child Left Behind Act, your junior high child can receive extra help in the approved subject areas. If your family meets the income limits under the law, your child can receive free tutoring. This is because Roxana Junior High School is in its second year or later of school improvement (the school has not made adequate yearly progress on state tests for at least three years). Parents can choose a free tutoring program that is best for their child. A list of approved tutoring programs is available in the junior high office. These programs have been approved by the Illinois State Board of Education and will provide your child with tutoring that is coordinated with what is being taught in school.
